Elementary activities and athletics

Have fun! Make friends! Try something new!

The Community Schools program provides fun activities and learning opportunities for children year-round; after-school, in the evenings and on the weekends; to enhance your child's academic and social experiences outside of regular school hours.

Each elementary and middle school in the Anoka-Hennepin School District has a Community Schools office which coordinates a wide range of classes, clubs, camps and clinics.

Children can choose from classes focusing on:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Athletics, sports and recreation
  • Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
  • Language and performing arts

Activities are offered after-school, in the evening and on the weekend. Families are welcome to enroll in enrichment opportunities offered at their child's school or at any school, districtwide.
