Parent Involvement

Parent Advisory Council

The Anoka-Hennepin Early Childhood Parent Advisory Council (PAC) provides input to and collaborates with Anoka-Hennepin Schools Early Learning programs. According to state statute, a majority of the council must be parents participating in the program. The council assists program administration with developing, planning and monitoring early childhood family education programs.

Early Learning PTO

Separate from the Parent Advisory Council, the Anoka-Hennepin Early Learning PTO is a group of volunteer parents and caregivers interested in supporting and promoting the goals of the Anoka-Hennepin Early Learning program. 

Members will:

  • Serve as a resource to staff on programming.
  • Discuss outreach efforts.
  • Raise funds to support classrooms.
  • Plan and promote events.

Meetings

Meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month during the school year from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Educational Service Center in Anoka.  Child care is provided with advance notice.

Volunteer with Early Learning

Volunteer Services is coordinated by Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement, a Community Education program.

Anoka-Hennepin Schools is grateful that each year, over 10,000 dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours of their time, energy and talents to support our schools, students and staff.

We encourage interested volunteers to complete an application for preschool, as well as a background check form each year.
