High school students presented with Youth Service Volunteer Awards

High school students presented with Youth Service Volunteer Awards

More than 90 students from all five traditional district high schools were recognized at an award ceremony on Wednesday, April 29, at the Educational Service Center (ESC) in Anoka.

The students are part of youth service groups at each high school that take part in community service projects throughout the school year. The students also record individual volunteer hours earned.

Family and friends filled the ESC for the ceremony to help celebrate the students who were recognized for their volunteer efforts. Award certificates were presented based on the grade of the volunteer and the number of service hours completed from January 1 to December 31.
